MINNEAPOLIS, -- Coming off of a big victory over the weekend, Head Coach Dan DeWitt's first as a Ram, North Central University (NCU) sets their eyes on Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) foe, St. Olaf. The Oles are fresh off a victory over fellow Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) member, Bethany Lutheran College. St. Olaf used a second half rally to knock off the Vikings and improve to 2-1 on the year. The Oles employ a relatively balanced scoring attack, but have been led by their senior from Mounds View, Minn. Nate Albers. Albers leads St. Olaf in points per game (16.0) and is second in rebounds per game (6.7).Â
The Rams will continue to turn to their offensive leader, sophomore Micah Filer. Filer leads a balanced, fast paced, Rams team with 14.0 points per game, but four other Rams contribute with at least double-digit scoring on average every night. This will be a big opportunity for the Rams to continue to build confidence and momentum against a MIAC tough team as they prepare to jump into conference play in just over two weeks.Â
