MINNEAPOLIS, -- The North Central University (NCU) women's basketball team is ready to tip off their 2019-20 campaign on their home court against NACC affiliate, Edgewood College (EC) Eagles. Dating back to January 3rd of last season, the Rams managed a key victory against the Eagles in a tremendously close affair, 65-64.

In NCU's last matchup against EC, Naomi Hagstrom and Betty Rand each notched an impressive 15 points to lead the Rams' offensive attack. The dynamic duo of Hagstrom and Rand will strive for repeat performances to launch the Rams to their first win of the young season. Joining the two and chipping in with a solid performance of her own was Alice Cato, who tallied a dominant double-double (12 rebounds and 11 points) and was fundamental to the Rams' win over the Eagles last season as well. All in all, this first game against a versatile Eagles squad will be telling for what can be expected from the NCU women's basketball program this year.
