MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – After a long road trip, the North Central University (NCU) men's soccer team is set to host the Saint Mary's Cardinals on Thursday. In the history between the two schools, the Rams and Cardinals soccer teams have faced off against each other a total of three times. The last time these two saw each other dates back to last season on August 8, 2018, where the Rams were unable to capitalize on their chances and dropped the match 3-1. The Rams are back on their home turf, and will be looking to grab their first win of the series.

From the previous matchup between NCU and SMU, Tian Elder placed a ball just below the crossbar to start the Rams off with the lead in the matchup.  Elder has been an impactful offensive threat for the Rams this year and will be looking to continue his presence. Henry Puchuela is coming into this match as the leader in goals-scored for the Rams with 2 on the season. The Cardinals currently sit at a 2-2 record, and will be looking to Eli Szymanski who found success against the Rams in last season's matchup.  This MIAC-UMAC cross-conference matchup is set to kick off at 3:30p.m. on Thursday, September 19th on Elliot Park Field.
