MINNEAPOLIS, -- The North Central University (NCU) men's soccer team is set to host Martin Luther College for the first match of the Homecoming doubleheader on Elliot Park Field. The two are very familiar with each other with both being Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Members (UMAC). This marquee matchup is the second of two meetings on the year. The first saw the Knights taking the match by a score of 6-0 at home in New Ulm, Minn, but this is not the same NCU team that the Knights matched up with just a few weeks ago.
For the Rams lately, growth has been key for their young core. In the Rams most recent victory (4-0 over Finlandia), the young core of forwards led the way as Weston Buckley found the net on two separate occasions, while his freshman running mate scored in his first action of the season after returning from an injury. The Rams and Knights are each looking for their first UMAC victory of the season as both have their eyes set on making the UMAC postseason.
