Following a tough loss to the
UMAC Preseason number one team, Bethany Lutheran College, the road ahead doesn't get any easier for the Rams. NCU is set to face the defending
UMAC champion University of Northwestern, St. Paul Eagles. Northwestern is fresh off a victory 10-point victory over Minnesota, Morris on Wednesday, January 15th. The Eagles' win moved them to 5-1 in the conference, which now finds them as the current three seed in the
UMAC standings
The Rams look to get back to their winning ways as they attempt to snap a four game losing streak. North Central has been within one score late in the second half of three out of four of those contests, but were unable to finish them off. A highlight for the Rams in their previous matchup was a new career high for their sharp-shooting freshman from Colorado,
Seth Fuqua. Colorado Springs and Vanguard product came out firing against Bethany as he rode four first half 3-point bombs to a 29 point outing. Among Fuqua,
Micah Filer and
Jalen Dunlap round out at trio of Rams who average over double figures for the Rams this season. It will be key for North Central to continue to share the ball and get a plethora of scorers involved as they look to knock of the Eagles on their home court.
