Justin Castro is from Kissimmee, Florida. Castro has been in Minnesota for five years as a Student-Athlete. He played basketball all throughout middle school until graduating from North Central University.
Castro made All-Conference his junior and senior years of high school. The first college Castro attended was the JUCO school, Anoka Ramsey Community College in Coon Rapids. In his freshman year, Castro made Second Team All-Conference. In his sophomore year, he made First Team All-Conference, First Team All-Region, and Honorable Mention All-American.
Castro then transferred to North Central University after two years at Anoka Ramsey where he played his last three seasons of College basketball. Castro graduated in 2022 with a bachelor's in Sports Management and a Minor in Christian Studies while making 1st Team All-UMAC, 2nd Team All-Region, and 1st Team All-Defense. While also being a captain and a leader for the team in his final two years.
"I am extremely excited to be a part of the coaching staff, as well as continuing to be a part of the North Central Community and Athletic Department. I'm looking forward to developing our players to grow on and off the court. I believe that having played in the conference for three years and being the point guard for NCU will help transition my knowledge and experience into this coaching position."
