    Lead Assistant Coach

Arthur Borges is in his first season as a lead assistant coach for the men's soccer program. Borges brings a dynamic blend of international passion, collegiate playing experience, and growing coaching success to NCU Men's Soccer.

Borges began his coaching career in 2024 as the Goalkeeper Coach at Crown College, where he contributed to the most successful season in program history — a third-place finish in the UMAC. That same year, he coached the U14 Girls team at Orono Westonka SC, helping young athletes develop strong technical foundations and tactical understanding. In August 2025, he joined Pitz FC, further deepening his coaching experience at the private coaching level.

A native of Porto Alegre, Brazil, Borges played as a goalkeeper at Patrick & Henry Community College (Martinsville, VA) from 2019-2021, earning First Team All-Region honors and helping the team reach #5 in the nation and qualify for the National Tournament — a first in school history. He transitioned to playing striker at Greensboro College in 2022, then capped off his collegiate career at Crown College in 2023, continuing to contribute offensively and building a versatile athletic resume.

He holds an Associate's degree in General Studies from Patrick & Henry Community College and a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from Crown College.

Borges was born in Porto Alegre, Brazil, and is the son of Luciane and João, with one sister, Camila. He currently resides in St. Paul with his wife, Hannah, and their cat, Mazie. His favorite food is Churrasco, and his favorite drink is Guaraná.
