Ryan McGee enters his first season as an Assistant Coach for NCU Men’s Soccer.
McGee has a decorated background in both playing and coaching soccer at all levels. Most recently, Ryan played professionally for the Bay Olympic FC - Auckland in New Zealand from 2023-24. While playing, he also coached the North Wellington FC U14 Academy team. In 2020-21, he played semi-professionally for the Albion Hurricanes FC United Soccer League in Houston, Texas, and also assisted in the youth academy program. His prior stint in professional soccer was with the Olympia Warriors National Premier League in Australia. Here he also coached the U16 team.
McGee received a Bachelor’s in Business Marketing from Marymount California University in June of 2018. In college, Ryan played for Marymount California in 2017-18 and helped his team make the NAIA Final Four. Before that, he played two seasons at Santa Barbara City College in Santa Barbara, California. He began his collegiate career at Dakota County Technical College in 2014 where he helped lead his team to a top 10 NJCAA D1 finish.
Ryan is originally from Chanhassen, MN. He helped lead Chanhassen High School Boys’ Soccer to a conference championship. He enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, and camping. He also loves watching his hometown Minnesota Vikings and Timberwolves. Ryan currently resides in Hopkins, MN.
