Zach Peterson

Zach Peterson has served as an assistant coach on the NCU men's soccer coaching staff since the 2016 season.

Peterson began his coaching career while at NCU, coaching for Urban Stars. His coaching resume also includes experience coaching for St. Paul Blackhawks and South St. Paul Youth Soccer where he led his U18 girls team to promotion and a state championship. Zach has attained the USSF E License.

Prior to coaching men's soccer at NCU, Peterson played soccer for Anoka High School. After graduating high school, Peterson attended NCU where he majored in Youth Ministry and played soccer for the Rams. Peterson was a four year starter and two year captain for NCU, and was voted to the men's soccer All-Region team after his senior season.

Zach is married to fellow alum and former NCU women’s soccer standout Sara Borndal. Zach and Sara live with their two dogs in Minneapolis. Zach also works at a charter school in Columbia Heights and is working on his Master’s in teaching from Bethel University. He is excited about working to build on the sturdy foundation that has been laid by prior NCU coaches and players, and hopes to help make NCU a perennial playoff contender.
