Faith Ooms

Faith Ooms is entering her 8th year as head coach of the NCU women's volleyball program in the 2024 season.

Since coming to NCU Ooms has led the women's volleyball program to a substantial increase in the amount of wins the program has collected.

In her first three seasons, she has produced multiple All-Conference and All-Academic awards along with being nationally ranked in several statistical categories. In 2020, volleyball earned their first-ever consolation championship after 4 consecutive sweeps in the postseason. In 2021, she lead the team to the highest UMAC finish in program history. They also finished 8th in the nation for the NCCAA.

Before her time serving as head coach at North Central, Ooms was a standout four-year collegiate student-athlete at the University of Northwestern, St. Paul, and has been a fixture in the local volleyball scene for several years.

The Chanhassen, Minn. native won 4 straight UMAC championships as a starter and 4 consecutive NCAA appearances, with her final season finishing in the top 16. Ooms was a team captain and three-time All-UMAC award recipient.

Since her playing days, Ooms has also spent time as a part- and full-time coach and instructor at Crossfire Volleyball Club, while also working as an event coordinator. She spent several months in Spain working with Sports Ambassadors as a missionary and coach.

Coach Faith is a full-time staff member for North Central Athletics. She is also a mom to her daughter, Noelle who loves attending matches with Faith’s husband Kyle.
