Game Recap
- The Rams found themselves down early in this one as the Cougars struck first with a goal in the 3rd minute of the contest. North Central did not wait long to answer as senior, Abby Schwinden, sent one in the net from 40 feet out to tie the game up at 1-1 in the 11th minute. Both teams continued to go back and forth searching for goals but it was the Cougars who were able to secure the lead once again with a goal in the 21st minute. As the first period waned, the Cougars were able to tack on one more goal to their lead in the 44th minute, which sent the Rams to the break trailing 1-3. The Cougars came out of the break firing, as they were the only one to put a shot on net in the first 15 minutes of the second period. This paid off for the Cougars as they put a little more distance between the Rams with a goal in the 60th minute to make it a three goal lead. The Rams continued to fight as they inched a little closer to Morris in the 73rd minute with goal from sophomore, Anna Hartwig. Unfortunately for the Rams, the Cougars quickly answered to push the lead back to three and make the score 2-5. The three goal lead proved to be too much for the Rams as they would not be able to get over the hump and would eventually fall to the Cougars by the score of 2-5.
