MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The North Central University Rams had a raucous environment as fans showed up for the homecoming match versus Crown College. Unfortunately, the Rams weren't able to capitalize on the energy as they fell three sets to none. The Rams were plagued by attacking errors (25 on the evening) and serving errors (7 on the evening) throughout the match. The Rams were led on the evening by
Alice Cato who finished with 7 kills and a .333 hitting percentage.
Match Vitals:
- The loss drops North Central to ninth in the UMACÂ conference standings (1-11).
- The Rams played each set closely losing by a margin of no more than 5 points in any given set.
Match Recap:
- The Rams found themselves fighting an uphill battle as they accumulated a total of 39 errors on the night. Despite the errors, the Rams were able to keep it close as they showed grit and determination multiple times. During the final set, the Rams played some of their best volleyball late in the set as they battled back from a large deficit to tie it at 23-23. With the momentum in their favor, the Rams were unable to finish off Crown as they dropped the final two points. The Rams were led in kills by Emma Middendorf (8 total), assists by Rachel Beckman (16), and digs by Hannah Fischer (12). Defensively, Jaselyn Anderson and Middendorf both had big nights while tallying 4 blocks a piece.
