• With the win, the Rams finish the season sweep of the Lumberjacks (2-0).
• The win moves the Rams to 7-5-2 (3-4-2 UMAC).

Game Recap

• The contest started with both teams unable to find wiggle room on the offensive end, as the scored was locked in a 0-0 tie for much of the first half. North Central turned to junior, Josué Boutouli, for a spark and he put the Rams on the board in the 36th minute which sent North Central to the half with a 1-0 lead. The both teams came out of the break with a more aggressive pace as the the Rams were able to get a goal seconds in the period from the foot of Chris Forest, but the Lumberjacks quickly answered less than a minute later to make it a one score game once again. The Rams looked to blow the game open early on in the final period as they pushed the lead to two with a goal from junior, Riley Loukinen, in the 56th minute. The Rams were able to net two more goals before the final whistle to run away with a big 5-1 UMAC win over the Lumberjacks.

Next up

• The Rams have a few days off until they hit the road this weekend for a huge matchup against the number one team in the UMAC, the University of Wisconsin-Superior Yellowjackets (12-2-1, 7-0-1 UMAC). This contest is set for a 1:00 p.m. kickoff.
