Game Recap
- The contest started with both teams unable to find many opportunities on the offensive side through much of the first half. North Central was only able to muster one shot on goal through the first 45 minutes, but they were able to hold the Saints to only four shots on net of their own. Scholastica had a huge chance to take control of the game in the 28th minute with a penalty kick, but senior, Gabe Hartwig, was able to make an impressive save to keep the game tied at 0-0. Rams were unable to keep the same defensive intensity in the second half as the Saints were able to break the tie in the 50th minute to take a 1-0 lead. The Saints looked to blow the game open as they added two more goals in the following 10 minutes. The Rams were forced to play a man down for the final 19 minutes as Hartwig was given a red card in the 71st minute on a play around the net. Freshman goalkeeper, Ryan Mau, came in and played big minutes for the Rams, coming away with a few impressive saves. North Central could not quite find an answer for the Saint's attack as they would eventually fall by a score of 5-0.
