Women's Soccer Suffers Loss to UMAC Top Seed

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - North Central University was at home on Wednesday afternoon for the final time this season playing host to the top seed in the UMAC, the Saints of the College of St. Scholastica. The Rams were unable to slow the Saints as they would fall by a score of 10-1

Game Recap

  • North Central found themselves behind early in this one as the Saints came out firing, scoring a goal in the 5th minute. The Saints kept the tempo up throughout much of the first half as they added two goals back to back in the 21st and 25th minute to stretch their lead to three. The Saints were able to add another goal to their lead, but the Rams continued to fight as freshman, Payton Swoboda, was able to close the gap with the Saints right before the end of the 1st period, sending the Rams ot the break trailing 4-1. The Saints offense did not skip a beat in the second half as they were able to keep the pressure on scoring 6 more goals. The Rams had a few opportunities but could no capitalize as they fell to the top seeded Saints 10-1

  • The Rams will have a few days of rest before they hit the road for their final contest of the 2018 regular season, as they will take on the Northwestern Eagles on Saturday, October 27th, in St. Paul, Minn. Kickoff for this match is set for 3:30 p.m.
