Game Recap

• North Central entered the contest as the underdog on Friday afternoon, but they came out with a chip on their shoulder and was the first to strike as Henry Puchuela found the back of the net in the 19th minute to take the 1-0 lead. The Rams were unable to turn a few opportunities late in the half into goals, but they were abe to stifle the Eagle's attack, keeping the game locked at 1-0 entering halftime. The second half proved to be much of the same as the Rams stayed focused on the defensive end. They were able to continue to hold the Eagles scoreless, while also adding an insurance goal in the 55th minute thanks to Jeremiah Zilka to make it a two goal. That is all the Rams would need as they would use their defensive effort to coast to a 2-0 upset victory and advance to the Championship round.

Next Up

• North Central will move on to the NCCAA North Regional Championship tomorrow afternoon at 3 p.m. The Rams will face off against either the 1 seed, Providence-Manitoba, or the 4th seed, Maranatha Baptist. The Rams have prior, 1-0, wins against both teams so the Championship should prove to be a tough one.
