High's Season High Fuels Rams Past Sabercats

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -  North Central University (NCU) hosted the Sabercats of Maranatha Baptist for a non-conference matchup on Thursday night. The Rams took down the Sabercats 91-65 thanks to season high 33 points from senior Jared High. High helped the Rams to a 26 point victory by shooting a blazing 77 percent (14-for-18 ) from the field.

  • Rams started the game off shooting 77 percent (7-for-9) from beyond the arc in the first half. With 9 minutes left to play in the first half the Rams held a 22-10 lead. Jared Highan all Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) performer from a year ago, scored 13 of his 24 first half points in the first 11 minutes of the ball game. High shot 90 percent (10-for-11) in the first half. The Rams continued to maintain their lead into the halftime break leading 43-27. Rams started the 2nd half hitting 8 of their first 15 shots to Maranatha's 2 for 10 shooting, all while extending their lead to 62-33. Freshman guard Micah Filer assisted the scoring with 16 points. The Rams continued the balanced scoring attack by beating the Sabercats 91-65. The Sabercats were led by Jonathan Book with 11 points.
