MINNEAPOLIS, Minn - The North Central University (NCU) men's basketball team was in action on Saturday as they hosted Crown College (CC) in an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference matchup. The game proved to be a fast pace back and forth matchup. Despite being tied late in the second half The Storm pulled away down the stretch to defeat the Rams 90-82.
Micah Filer recorded a career high on the night with 30 points. His big game followed his older sister Haleigh Filer who recorded 22 points in the early game in Clark Danielson Gymnasium.

- Both teams got off to a great start early on in an up tempo contest. NCU took a 27-24 lead after a made layup from Sam Peterson at the 8:40 mark in the first half. At the break The Storm led 39-36 despite multiple Rams approaching double figures early. Jared High and A.J. McGrew each had nine points at the break. Micah Filer posted eight points in the first half. In the second half both teams continued to play an up tempo pace. With just under ten minutes remaining in the game both teams were locked in a 66-66 tie. Down the stretch The Storm built a lead to 81-73 with just over three minutes remaining. The Rams continued to fight hard to cut the lead but were unable to in the final minutes.
