NEW ULM, Minn. - The North Central University (NCU) men's basketball team opened Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) play on Wednesday night on the road against Martin Luther College. The Rams fell to the Knights by a score of 67-59. The loss moves their record to 4-5 on the season and 0-1 in UMAC play.

Game Recap
- The first half of the game was tightly contested as both teams exchanged leads multiple times in the first period. NCU led at one point by a nine-point margin with 3:22 remaining in the first half. Martin Luther cut into the Rams lead as they tied the score 29-29 with just over a minute remaining in the half. Another made three-point shot from MLC gave them a one-point advantage heading into halftime. In the second half MLC continued to build on their lead as multiple players crossed into double figures to pace the Knights. NCU would continue to fight to the final whistle as they closed the Knights lead to six points with less than a minute remaining. Ultimately MLC sealed the victory as Ethan Eiselmann buried two free-throws to extend the lead with 21 seconds remaining.
