DULUTH, Minn - The North Central University women's basketball team continued to roll in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference play as they recorded another key victory following their win against Northwestern St. Paul on Saturday. The Rams wore down the College of St. Scholastica Saints on Wednesday night on the road as NCU came away with a 76-59 victory. The win has major implications on the UMAC playoff chase as NCU moves into fifth place in the standings ahead of St. Scholastica.

- Â NCU wasted no time in getting settled in as they opened the game on an early 10-2 run to show the Saints they were fully prepared to play. The Saints battled back in the first quarter to lead 12-11 heading in to the first break. NCU would regain and extend the lead to seven points after a Naomi Hagstrom layup with just over seven minutes remaining in the half. Both teams would trade baskets the remainder of the half as NCU took a narrow five point lead into the locker room at halftime. In the third quarter both teams would remain deadlocked as matched the counterpart with 21 points each scored in the third. The Rams would maintain their five point lead heading in to the final period. The fourth quarter would come up all Rams as they outscored the Saints 21-10 with the game in the balance. NCU would shoot 85 percent in the fourth as they went 6-for-7 and a perfect 3-for-3 from three point range.

The Rams will look to continue their path towards the conference tournament as they will look to make it three wins in a row on Saturday on the road against Crown College. The game is scheduled to tip-off at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at Crown.
