MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The North Central University (NCU) women's basketball team played host to the University of Minnesota Morris (UMM) Cougars on a sunny afternoon in downtown Minneapolis. With the game being close for much of the contest the Cougars went on the road and got the victory by a score of 65-48.

- The Cougars outshot the Rams 43 percent (27-for-62) to 27 percent (18-for-66)
- The Cougars outscored the Rams 35-22 in the second half.

Game Recap
- The highly-anticipated game was close throughout much of the first half. NCU saw themselves down 13-4 early in the contest. However, the Rams got some scoring from Senior Haleigh Filer who had 7 first half points. The Rams were able to overcome the deficit and take a lead 19-17 at the end of the first quarter. The contest stayed neck and neck throughout much of the second quarter as well. NCU used a scoring boost from Freshman Naomi Hagstrom who ended the half with 10 points of her own. The contest remained close throughout the start of the 3rd quarter but it was all Cougars from there on out. The Rams were outscored 35 to 22 in the second half. That's all the Cougars needed as they took down the Rams 65-48 in conference play.
