Defending UMAC champs prove a tough task for the Rams on the road

SUPERIOR, Wis. -- North Central University (NCU) was in action on Wednesday afternoon following a short layover in game action. The Rams hit the road in a tough matchup with the defending Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Champions, the Yellowjackets of the University of Wisconsin-Superior (UWS). The Jackets were impressive right from the first whistle as they found the net on three occasions in both periods en route to a 6-0 victory.

Game Vitals

  • The Yellowjackets recorded 25 shots
  • Five different Superior players recorded goals
Game Recap
The Yellowjackets exploded right out of the gate, sneaking through the Ram's defense in just the first 6 minutes to take a 1-0 lead. Superior continued their offensive aggression, refusing to take their foot off the gas. The Yellowjackets scored two more goals before the 17th minute as they led 3-0 in the blink of an eye. The Rams seemed to settle in on the defensive end, finding different ways to keep the Jacket's offense at bay. NCU held Superior scoreless for thirty straight minutes, but the Yellowjackets found their stride once again in the second period. Superior added three more insurance goals while the Rams failed to find an offensive spark as the Yellowjackets ran away with the 6-0 victory.
