Box Score MORRIS, Minn - The North Central University men's tennis team was in action on on Thursday afternoon as they trawled to Morris,Minnesota, for their final regular season match of the year. The two battled it out for much of the afternoon, but rain and wet courts ended the afternoon early for the two clubs. With much of the matches settled, enough competition had been completed for an offical score. NCU had some closes matches late, but was eventually swept by the Cougars by a score of 7-0.
The No. 1 singles matchup was unable to finish, along with No.2 singles matchup as
Judah Smith and
Noah Ramsby ,respectively, end with no decision. The Next two single slots for the Rams were filled by
Joshua Ekong and
Micah Peterson who were both defeated in straight sets, with Micah making his second set extremely close, but falling 6-3. Rounding out the singles lineup for the Rams was
Ken Schrock and
Josiah Williams in the No. 5 and No. 6 positions respectively. Schrock fell 6-2 and 6-1, while Williams fell by scores of 6-2 and 6-3.
In the doubles matchups NCU saw partners
Joshua Ekong and
Micah Peterson fall in the No. 1 doubles position by a score of 1-8.
Noah Ramsby was paired with
Ken Schrock in the No. 2 slot and battled in the early going but eventually fell by a score of 8-2. The final doubles paring for NCU was
Josiah Williams and
Caleb Van Nattawho fell to the Cougars No. 3 doubles slot by a score of 8-1.
