Women's Soccer Drops Rematch with the Eagles

  • Faith out shot the Rams 30 : 5
  • In 18 career match ups, this is just the second win for Faith
  • The Rams drop to 0-2 with the loss

Game Recap

  • One week removed from an impressive victory at Elliot Park Field, the Eagles were once again all over the Rams. Faith used some early momentum to help spark an impressive run to keep the Rams at bay. Just 7 minutes into the contest, Faith broke away with a goal to steal the lead. After falling behind, the Rams fought to even the game back up with an answer. Although they struggled to make some noise on the scoreboard, the managed to slow down the Eagle's offensive attack. Late in the first half, it appeared the Rams would head to the break trailing by just the one goal, but Faith's Abigail Speichinger got lose for one of her two goals of the game with just seconds left in the half to push the Faith Baptist lead to two. NCU found a few more goal scoring opportunities in the final 45 minutes, but were unable to turn those opportunities into scores. While the Rams continued to struggle offensively, the Eagles, led by Speichinger, added two more goals to pull further away on the contest and run away with the 4 to 0 victory over the Rams.
