Game Recap

• After squaring up with the Faith Baptist Eagles the night prior, the Rams looked to shake off performance with a big one on Saturday. Unfortunately for the Rams, Cornell had other plans as they were in search of their first win of the year. Cornell was aggressive from the very first whistle, registering two shots within the first two minutes of play. After sending multiple shot attempts on goal in the first few minutes, Cornell was able to find their first goal of the night from Ashley Quesada in the 4th minute of the match. Quesada put on an impressive performance for Cornell as she racked up two more goals throughout the contest herself to go along with an assist. With Cornell as the aggressor, NCU found themselves on their heels, struggling to find much action on the opposite side of the pitch. The Rams searched for an offensive spark, but were unable to manufacture any offense. With the North Central offense seemingly stalled, Cornell continued to put points on the board. The opposing Rams scored 6 goals in the first half and 3 goals in the final 45 minutes to run away with the 9-0 victory.

Next up

• The Rams will make the trek back home for a few days off, until they hit the road once again on Tuesday, September 10th. NCU will travel this time to New Ulm, Minnesota, to take on a familiar opponent in Martin Luther College. The non-conference match is set to kick-off at 4:30 p.m.
