CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - In day number two of the Coe College Kickoff Tournament, the North Central University (NCU) Men's Soccer team battled with the host, the Kohawks of Coe College. Game Recap
- The Kohawks entered, fresh off a huge 4-0 win from the night previous, and they carried that momentum into this one in the early going. Coe broke out to an early 1-0 lead after scoring an impressive goal in just the 3rd minute of the contest. The Rams searched for a quick answer, but were unable to come away with any points on the board. Meanwhile, the Kohwaks added another two goals in the 9th and 15th minute. After falling behind by three scores, the Rams seemed to settle in and appeared to find an answer for Coe's attack. NCU failed to find many opportunities in the back half of the first period on the offensive end, but the Rams were able to hold the Kohawks as they headed to the break trailing 3-0. The Rams had a few opportunities early on in the second period, but were still unable to add points on the board. While the Rams continued to struggle to find any offensive momentum, the Kohawks were able to heat back up. Coe finished with 4 more goals in the second half to take down the Rams by a score of 7-0.
