MORRIS, Minn. -- The North Central University (NCU) volleyball team was back on the road on Friday evening as they took to Morris, MN to take on the University of Minnesota Morris (UMM) Cougars. The current 3 Seed in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference, the Cougars, continued to solidify their playoff hopes with their performance on Friday night. The Rams battled, but fell to the Cougars in three straight sets (25-10, 25-15, 25-15).
Game Recap
After a week off from competition, the Rams were ready to be back on the floor on Friday evening. NCU was the first to strike in set number one, but after the two squads traded points, the Cougars found their rhythm. UMM manufactured a run comprised of five straight points to steal the momentum from the Rams, and they did not look back. This pattern continued for the final two sets of the evening. The Rams just could not quite withstand the Cougar's big runs throughout the entirety of the match. UMM finished with an impressive 41 kills throughout all three sets.
