Game Recap
The first set started off exchanging points then UWS went on a little run and then the Rams would go on a little run, a very back and forth set and game. After winning the first set, the Rams improved throughout the second set to then win in the third set.
Morgan Delange (Corsica, SD, Corsica-Stickney High School) and
Emily DiGiorgio (Ironwood, MI, Luther L. Wright High School) were game changers at the net.
Delange led the Rams with 14 kills and
DiGiorgio followed with 12 with two blocks as well. These two along with
Hannah Fischer (Kenyon, MN, Kenyon Wanamingo High School) and
Alexandria Taylor (Milwaukee, WI, Milwaukee Lutheran High School) in the back court were a force to be reckon with especially in the third set win. The Rams flowed well together as they racked up the points. UWS pulled through and won the last set to win the game.
A few of the Rams had decent hitting percentages.
DiGiorgio led with .333 followed by
Delange with .308 and then at an even .300 was setter
Grace Brigson (West Salem, WI, West Salem High School).
Brigson had a great game and was efficient all over the court with four kills, 34 assists, and led NCU with 12 digs. The Rams played hard despite having a game the previous night and look forward to playing later in the day for their second match of the day.
