MANKATO, Minn. -- At a 7:30 kickoff under the lights, the North Central University (NCU) women's soccer team played against Bethany Lutheran College (BLC). The away
Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) matchup made both teams adjust and play hard. The Vikings ended up taking the game, 6-0.

With perfect weather to play a match, the Rams ran with the Vikings for a full 90 minutes.
Arien Fritts (Ham Lake, MN, Fritts Homeschool Academy) headed up the backline in goal with an outstanding 15 saves. Her energy extended to the defense all the way up to the attack.
Hannah Fischer (Port Washington, WI, Living Word Lutheran High School), outside back, had some clutch stops for the Rams and was able to even calmly play the ball up the sidelines to the outside midfielders.
Alexis Orlando (Rosemount, MN, Rosemount High School) generated a lot of offense for the Rams with six shots total.
Rachel Lampton (Lake Villa, IL, Lakes Community High School) moved up from the center back position to center mid late in the game and got herself a shot as well. Captain
Kara Lewis (Mandeville, LA, Northlake Christian School) was all over the field tonight showing her versatility in skill, soccer knowledge, and leadership. NCU made adjustments throughout the game to stop and counter BLC's main attacking group. In the last 20 minutes, the Rams had a lot of good opportunities on goal and gave great energy despite the score. This women's soccer team only stops at the whistle and can't wait to get back on the pitch to play again.
