Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Crown College fire power a little too much for the Rams

St. Bonifacius, MN- The North Central University Men's soccer team traveled to take on the Crown College Polars. The Rams and Polars fought it out, and after 90 minutes the Polars would take the win 3-2.

In the first period, Crown came out the game on a mission as they put up two goals on the Rams. The goals were scored in the sixteenth and twentieth minute. The Rams didn't take long as they would score a goal of their own in the thirty-second minute. Alex Chacich (Hibbing,MN) lined up the shot and scored his seventh goal on the year, on the assist of Weston Buckley (Budapest, HU). The Polars drove down and scored in the thirty-fourth minute as the score became 3-1. Weston Buckley (Budapest, HU) had something to say about that as he drove all the way down the field and scored his sixth goal on the year, without it coming off an assist. The Rams and Polars would head into the half with the Polars leading 3-2.

In the second period, the game was a defensive showdown. Both teams tightened up on defense and that caused both offenses to struggle. The Rams got their fair share of shots in the second period, but they all came up short. The time of possession was just about even through the second period, but as the buzzer would sound the Polars would beat the Rams 3-2.

Looking ahead:
The North Central University Rams will travel to Morris, Minnesota to take on the Minnesota Morris Cougars on Saturday, October 15 at 1:00pm.
