Minneapolis, MN- The North Central University Rams men's soccer team hosted the Northland College Lumberjacks. NCU brought the axes out of the shed and knocked down the Lumberjacks with a score of 1-0.
In the first period, both teams would come out hungry. The energy was ramped up throughout the match as both teams gave it their all. In the nineteenth minute, the Rams took a crack at the net and scored the first goal of the match. The tally was scored by
Weston Buckley (Budapest, HU) and he didn't need an assist to get it there. The Rams would keep the lead and not give up anything before the half.
In the second period, the Ram's defense was on point. The Lumberjacks weren't able to get any momentum going as NCU applied pressure. For the rest of the game, the Lumberjack's axes just weren't as sharp as they wanted and the Rams took the win 1-0.
Looking ahead:
The Rams will travel to Martin Luther College to play them on October 26 at 1:00 pm
