ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Getting their first
Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) action of the year, the North Central University (NCU) men's lacrosse team faced off with the University of Northwestern (UNW). The Eagles overtook the Rams in four periods with a final score of 21-3.

NCU goalie,
Braden Davenport (Portage, WI), had two saves to start the game against UNW. However, the Eagles found the back of the net in the eighth minute and found it three more times in the first period. UNW controlled most of the possession in the first period and started off the second period strong with a goal in the opening minute followed by another goal shortly after. The Rams got their first shot of the night from the stick of
Jaydon Crim (Hudson, WI, Hudson High School) in the ninth minute. And then, NCU grabbed their first goal in the seventh minute which was scored by
Corey Evers (Granger, IA) and assisted by
Isaac Griffin (Lakeville, MN).
Evers had one more shot in the second period, but the Eagles again controlled the ball and scored twice more going up 9-1 at the start of the third period.
UNW again scored an early goal, this time in the third period, followed by another score just a few minutes later. The Rams eventually won the ball back on defense and surged ahead in hopes of another goal. Attacker
Crim shot at the Eagle's goalie, got his rebound, and this time scored, giving the Rams their second goal of the night. UNW was able to capitalize off of a few NCU penalties and notched four more goals in the third period. In the ninth minute of the fourth period,
Jackson Smith (Chanhassen, MN) slotted a pass into
Crim who was able to finished at the net for the second time of the match. The Eagles did score six more goals in the final period to end the game with a score of 21-3.
With this loss, the Rams are still in hunt of their first win of the season, falling to 5-0.

- Senior Jaydon Crim led the way for NCU with two goals off of seven shots.
