Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer Goes Scoreless in 1-0 Loss to MLC at Home

Minneapolis, MN -- After falling to the Polars in St. Bonifacius, the North Central University (NCU) soccer team returned home to host the Knights from Martin Luther College (MLC). The Rams would dominate the time of possession and generate more shots on goal than the Knights. Despite this, NCU would fail to find the back of the net and the lone MLC goal in the 17th minute of action would be enough for the Knights to win 1-0.

In the first half, the Rams were able to outshoot the Knights 13-9, but weren't able capitalize on any of them. Despite being outshot, MLC would score a goal in the 17th minute of a corner kick to give themselves a 1-0 lead. North Central would have 9 different players with shot attempts in half one. The Rams went into halftime trailing by a score of 1-0 in favor of the Knights.

In the second half, the Rams once again outshot the Knights but weren't able to score despite 10 shots. Captain Elliott Lebsack would be responsible for half of NCU's 10 shots in the half, but in the end would come up empty. Lebsack would total 9 shots (3 SOG) in tonight's contest. Goalkeeper Jerad Buse would record 6 saves. As the clock ran out, MLC was able to stay ahead of the Rams winning this one 1-0.
