Fort Meyers, FL -- North Central University's baseball team couldn't string together hits in their final game in Fort Meyers. The team would have two hits in the loss to the Bluffton University Beavers. Key mistakes in the early parts of the game spiraled it out of control.
Michael Escalante would start the game for the Blue and Gold. The first inning wouldn't go as planned for North Central as the Beavers would score two in the first off of an error and sacrifice fly. The score would be four to zero in favor of Bluffton after two innings. In the top of the third, outfielder
Kyle Huerth would hit a triple to right field, for the Ram's second triple of the season. Unfortunately, the Rams would not be able to capitalize on the triple. Senior relief pitcher
Tanner Oka would come into the game and pitch the only shutout inning for the Rams. He would throw to five batters and striking out one looking. The Rams wouldn't get another hit until the top of the seventh when
Nicolas Sheley hit a single to left field. Once again the Rams would not be able to get anything going, dropping this game 11-0.
