Roseville, MN -- NCU baseball played a solid game against the Minnesota-Morris Cougars. They produced 14 hits and six runs, but it wasn't enough to secure the win. The Rams played a solid game, but a big late-inning from Minnesota-Morris secured them a win.
Michael Escalante started on the mound for NCU and had a really solid game on the mound. He pitched four scoreless innings with seven strikeouts. The Rams would strike first with a solo home run from Teagan Burch in the bottom of the fourth inning. Minnesota-Morris would score four in the top of the fifth, making it a 4-1 game. In the bottom of the fifth, Christian Rodriguez and Kyle Huerth would hit back-to-back doubles and Daniel Montana would follow it up with a two-run home run to tie the game at four. The Cougars would score one in the top of the sixth. The Blue and Gold would tie the game again in the bottom of the eighth thanks to an RBI single from Mike Maanum. Minnesota-Morris would have a big ninth inning scoring five runs and regaining the lead at 10-5. Montana would hit his second home run of the game in the bottom of the ninth, but it wouldn't be enough as the Rams would lose 10-6.

- Daniel Montana (Tucson, AZ) Blasted two home runs with three of the six RBIs for NCU.
