Mankato, MN -- The North Central University (NCU) Women's Soccer team headed down to Mankato today to play the Bethany Lutheran College (BLC) Vikings in just its second conference matchup of the season. The Rams would be completely shut out by the Vikings, not recording a single shot in today's match. Bethany would win this one 7-0 and the Rams would be left still searching for their first win of the season.
In the first half, sophomore goalkeeper
Abigail Herbolsheimer (Tawas City, MI) would be tested early and often, facing a total of 22 shots by the opposition. She would make a total of 11 saves through the first 45. Bethany would strike four times in the first half, making the score 4-0. With no offensive chances in half one, the Rams would need to get something going after the break. Unfortunately, the second half would be much of the same, as North Central would have no shot attempts and give up 10 shots to BLC.
Herbolsheimer would finish with a season high 17 saves on the evening.
