Ashland, WI -- North Central University (NCU) volleyball traveled to Ashland, WI to take on the Lumberjills of Northland College (NC) for their second Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) contest of the year. NCU had a monster first set but would lose momentum quickly. After the hot start, the Rams would go on to lose 3-1 to the Lumberjacks.

The Rams started strong in set one as they scored three in a row off of kills from freshmen Cora Tippie (Rhome, TX) and Sydney Carlson (Blaine, MN), as well as junior captain Grace Brigson (West Salem, WI). NCU tallied a total of 18 kills as they went on to win by a score of 25-14. Carlson continues her impressive freshman year as she led the way with 6 kills in set one. Brigson would have a strong first set with 13 assists.

In set two, the Rams carried their momentum from the first set as they were able to jump out to a 5-1 early lead. However, Northland was able to go on a 7-point run off a few errors by the NCU. The Rams would commit 10 errors and the Lumberjills were able to take control of set 2 winning by a score of 25-17. Northland rode this momentum for the rest of the game as they were able to win sets three and four by scores of 25-12 and 25-11.
