Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women's Soccer Defeated 2-0 in St. Bonifacius

St. Bonifacius, MN -- Still searching for their first win, the North Central University (NCU) women's soccer team headed to St. Bonifacius to take on the Crown College (CC) Polars. Unfortunately, the Rams would fall on the road by a score of 2-0.

In the first half, Crown would be on the attack right away. Eventually, in the 10th minute of the game, the Polars scored their first goal making the score 1-0 in their favor. They would follow that up in the 13th minute with another goal as they took a 2-0 lead over the Rams. The Rams' defense made some adjustments and upped the aggression as they held Crown to just those two goals in the first half. However, the NCU offense could not get anything going against the Polars' defense as they were unable to score before the end of the half. Crown College would head into the break with a 2-0 lead.

In the second half, the Polars would fire 11 shot attempts but none of them would find the back of the net. NCU's defense would shut down Crown's offense as they did not allow any goals in period two. Getting her first start in goal for the Rams, freshman Jessica Redman (Beaver Dam, WI) was able to pick up 4 saves in the second half with 6 total for the game. In the last 45 minutes of the game, neither team would score and the Polars would walk away with a 2-0 victory over the Rams.
