Minneapolis, MN -- North Central University (NCU) Women's Soccer faced off with the Buena Vista University (BVU) Beavers in their second home game of the season. The Rams entered this game shorthanded, as multiple key starters sat with injuries. Defensively, NCU was heavily tested in this one, as the Beavers fired 20 total shots, 14 on target. The women would suffer their second loss of the season, falling to Buena Vista 3-1.
The BVU Beavers would be the first to strike, scoring in just the 3rd minute of action, taking the lead 1-0. North Central forward
Kara Lewis (Mandeville, LA) was active in the first half, taking 5 total shots, but was unable to find the back of the net. Buena Vista would get off 11 shots to North Central's 7 shots. When the half came to an end, the Beavers would lead 1-0.
After a hard-fought first 45 minutes, each team expended a lot of energy and the pace would slow down. It was not until the 59th minute that BVU scored their second goal to stretch their lead. It wouldn't take long for the Rams to respond, as
Isabella Connell (Champlin, MN) scored her first goal of the season in the 68th minute on a right-footed rocket from the left side of the pitch. Any hope of a comeback would be squashed in the 89th minute, as Beaver forward Chloe Lippert scored her second goal on the night. The Rams would lose 3-1 to BVU.
