Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Rams Lose 7-3 on the Road to Faith Baptist

Minneapolis, MN -- North Central University (NCU) Women's Soccer hit the road for a matchup with the Faith Baptist Bible College (FBBC) Eagles earlier today in Ankeny, Iowa. The Rams' defense would struggle in this one, allowing 19 shots on goal for the Eagles and the scoring would come in bunches. North Central would go on to lose 7-3 to Faith Baptist.

It did not take long for the first goal to be scored, as Faith Baptist would find the back of the net just 49 seconds into the match. Faith Baptist would go on to score three more goals in the first 16 minutes of play. The Blue and Gold certainly had an uphill battle to get back into this one. Offensive chances were hard to come by for the Rams, as they recorded only 2 shots on goal in the first half. NCU went into halftime training 4-0.

Coming out of the break, North Central would suffer two more goals in the first two minutes of play. Eventually able to respond, captain forward Kara Lewis (Mandeville, LA) would score the Rams' first goal in the 50th minute. Able to capitalize quickly off the excitement of their first goal, Isabella Connell (Champlin, MN) scored the second NCU goal just 30 seconds later. The Eagles would return the favor, scoring in the 54th minute of the game to make the score 7-2. In the 76th minute of action, Connell would score her second goal of the match, pushing her season total to 3. Faith Baptist went on to win this one 7-3.
