Mankato, MN -- The North Central University (NCU) softball team resumed Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) play today as they headed down to Mankato for a single-game matchup versus the Vikings of Bethany Lutheran College (BLC). North Central struggled at the plate as they struck out 11 times and recorded no hits. The Rams suffered another conference loss as they fell to the Vikings 8-0 in six innings.
Bethany Lutheran was able to get on the board early as they went up 4-0 after the first two innings. North Central was able to stop the Vikings' offense in the third as NCU's defense put up a zero. However, the BLC offense re-found its stroke as they tacked on two in the fourth, one in the fifth, and the final run in the sixth. The Rams saw no production on offense as the Vikings had themselves a no-hitter. Bethany Lutheran would walk away with the win as they scored 8 runs on 10 hits as the Rams fell to 0-7 in UMAC play.

The Rams will play their home opener this Friday, April 12th against the University of Wisconsin-Superior Yellowjackets. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 PM at Xcel Field Park.
