Minneapolis, MN – North Central University (NCU) Athletics is excited to announce Jessica Curry as its next Head Volleyball Coach. A dynamic leader with experience at the high school, club, and collegiate levels, Curry brings a proven track record of player development, discipleship, and program-building success. Jessica officially begins her new position today, July 7th, 2025.

Prior to joining NCU, Curry most recently served as both the Head Junior Varsity Coach and Assistant Varsity Coach at Madison Christian High School in Groveport, Ohio. During the 2023 season, she helped take the varsity team from a 5-15 season to a 13-11 season and improve the junior varsity's overall record from 7-10 to 9-6. In 2021, Curry served as an Assistant Coach at Tiffin University, an NCAA Division II school in Tiffin, Ohio. Here, she contributed to statistical analysis and player development while pursuing her master's degree. From 2018-2021, she led multiple youth teams as a Head Coach at Eastside Volleyball Club in Lithopolis, Ohio. Curry coached indoor and beach volleyball for kids ages 5 to 18. Jess served as the club's first defensive specialist coach, teaching players and coaches congruent language and skills throughout the club. Since 2018, she has also worked privately as a volleyball personal trainer.

In addition to her coaching background, Jessica Curry brings a diverse range of professional experiences that strengthen her ability to lead and mentor. Most recently, she has served as a Public Safety Services Liaison and previously as a Behavioral Health Program Specialist with the Ohio State Highway Patrol, where she gained valuable experience in mental health and behavioral health services. Across these positions, Curry demonstrated a consistent commitment to supporting others' growth, managing complex responsibilities, and fostering holistic development.

Jessica was a four-year volleyball student-athlete at Ohio Christian from 2016-2020, where she developed a deep love for the sport and a passion for mentoring others through faith and competition. She received River State Conference All-Academic honors all four seasons at OCU. Curry completed her undergraduate studies at Ohio Christian University in 2020, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Criminal Justice with minors in Coaching and Biblical Studies. She went on to earn her Master of Science in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Criminal Behavior from Tiffin University in 2022.

Jessica is originally from the State of Maryland, but currently resides in Ohio. She is proud to be an Air Force Brat with a father who served in the Air Force for 24 years (Aim High, Fly High). She is the youngest of three kids. Currently, Jessica is engaged to her wonderful fiancé Caleb Christian. They plan to get married after the 2025 volleyball season concludes. Caleb and Jessica are excited to model a Christian life and marriage to all her student-athletes. Jess is an avid animal lover and has three fur-babies.

"I am most excited about mentoring and exemplifying a Christ-like life to the student-athletes," said Curry. She continued, "I am excited to partner with staff and faculty to help cultivate the young adults in establishing their foundation and relationship with Jesus Christ. I am also excited to see the heights that we can take the volleyball program to."
