Minneapolis, MN -- Wednesday, the North Central University (NCU) Track and Field teams competed at the Gary Wilson Invite hosted by the University of Minnesota. Competing at the U of M Track & Field Stadium, the Rams continued to tune up their craft as they approach the season finale.
Sprints:
On the women's side, sophomore hurdler
Joyce Horton represented the Rams in the 400m hurdles, turning in a time of 1:11.57.
For the men, senior sprinter
Jaquan Adams competed in the 100m prelims, clocking a time of 11.05.
Distance:
Freshman distance runner
Claire Nelsen led the women's distance efforts in the 1500m, posting a time of 6:38.89.
On the men's side, sophomore
Josh Hinson highlighted the group with a time of 2:09.70 in the 800m, leading the Rams in the event. Junior
David Bjorge also competed in the 800m, finishing in 2:30.30 as both athletes battled through a competitive field.
Looking Ahead:
Up next, the Rams will compete at the Rider/Bolstorff Invite, where the Hammer throw and 5k races kick off on Friday, April 24th. The remainder of the meet will take place on Saturday, April 25th. The Invite hosted by Macalester College is set to kick off at 10:00 AM.
