New Ulm, MN -- North Central University (NCU) Men's Golf entered the final event of the 2026 Spring Season at the MLC Spring Invite hosted by Martin Luther College at the New Ulm Country Club in New Ulm, MN, closing out the year with a balanced team effort that saw all five Rams finish inside the top 45, led by a pair of top-15 performances.
North Central placed fourth overall with a team score of 329 (+49), competing in a six-team field of 60 total golfers. Sophomore
Hector Avila paced the Rams with an 80 (+10) to finish tied for 8th, marking his second top-10 finish of the spring. Freshman
Kaden Dunton followed closely behind, carding an 81 (+11) to tie for 11th, continuing his consistent debut season. Sophomore
Greg Salinas added an 82 (+12) to place tied for 20th, rounding out a strong top three for NCU. Junior
Joe Stanton turned in an 86 (+16), finishing tied for 32nd, while junior
Ashton Stansfield completed the lineup with a 91 (+21) to tie for 42nd. As a team, the Rams' fourth-place finish marked a steady close to the spring campaign, highlighted by Avila's top-10 showing and a tightly grouped scoring lineup that demonstrated depth and continued development heading into the fall season.
