New Ulm, MN -- North Central University (NCU) Women's Golf entered the final event of the 2026 Spring Season at the MLC Spring Invite hosted by Martin Luther College at the New Ulm Country Club in New Ulm, MN. Battling through a competitive 40-player field, the Rams were led by a strong showing from freshman
Brooklyn Barton, who cracked the top 15 and paced North Central with one of her best rounds of the spring.
North Central turned in a team score of 394 (+110) to finish 4th overall out of 6 teams, closing out the spring slate with a steady collective effort. Freshman
Brooklyn Barton led the way with a 92 (+21), finishing tied for 12th to mark the top individual performance for the Rams. Fellow freshman
Hannah Wolf followed with a 98 (+27), placing tied for 21st, while freshman
Claire Nelsen added a 101 (+30) to finish tied for 24th. Rounding out the lineup, freshman
Maizy Sundblad carded a 103 (+32), tying for 27th in the field. As a group, the Rams showed consistency across the lineup in a single-round format, with Barton's finish highlighting a strong close to the season. The meet served as a solid capstone for a young roster, with multiple golfers continuing to build experience and post competitive scores heading into the fall season.
