DULUTH, MINNESOTA — North Central (MN) fell 0-5 in a road match Thursday, but the story of the day was effort. The Rams showed heart, competing hard for all 90 minutes.
With substitution options scarce, North Central's field players largely played wire to wire, and the Rams turned to a goalkeeper platoon, splitting time between Olivia Johnlouis and Deshawna Hodges, who combined for 6 saves on the day.
Despite being outshot, North Central kept battling into the second half, with Olivia Beach and Ramiyah Words each putting a shot on target.
Head coach came away proud of the group's competitiveness Friday evening.
