Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

ST. PAUL, Minn. - North Central University softball (7-25, 1-15 UMAC) faced The University of Northwestern-St. Paul (22-14, 11-5 UMAC) in the 2018 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) doubleheader season finale on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles defeated the Rams 9-2 in game one and 3-0 in game two on a sunny day at Reynolds Field.

Game 1: Northwestern's bats were hot and swinging early scoring eight runs in the first inning resulting in the go ahead win. Kylee Bommersbach (Sartell, Minn./Sartell) was nearly perfect in game one with four plate appearances, three hits, and one run. However, two late runs from Bommersbach and Ellee Laws (Odgen, Iowa/Odgen) wasn't enough to overcome the Eagles lead.

Game 2: In the second game the Rams defensive efforts kept Northwestern off the scoreboard until the third inning and only allowed one run through four innings. Th Eagles were held to only three runs the lowest number of runs the Rams have given up to UNW in recent softball history. Laws led the Rams with two hits nut the Rams couldn't find an offensive groove dropping game two.
