Dunton Wins Viking Invite With Career-Best Round; NCU Finishes 2nd Overall

Waseca, MN -- The North Central University (NCU) men's golf squad traveled to Waseca today to play in the Viking Invite hosted by Bethany Lutheran College. The meet took place at the Waseca Lakeside Club, where freshman Kaden Dunton carried the team to a 2nd place finish with a personal-best round of 69 (-1). This would be Dunton's first career invitational victory.

Freshman standout Kaden Dunton headlined the Rams' day with a career-best round of 69 (-1), claiming his first-ever individual invitational title and helping pace North Central to a 2nd-place team finish. Right behind him was junior Joe Stanton, who also shot a new career-best with his round of 76 (+6) to tie for 5th overall. Sophomore Greg Salinas followed with a steady 82 (+12), good for a tie at 19th place, while sophomore Hector Avila carded an 83 (+13) to secure 21st. Rounding out the lineup, junior Ashton Stansfield posted a 93 (+23) to take 31st individually.
