Women's Golf Competes in First Spring Invitational in Iowa

Waterloo, IA -- North Central University (NCU) Women's Golf began its spring slate at the Upper Iowa Invite hosted by Upper Iowa University at the Sunnyside Country Club in Waterloo, Iowa. Round one of this originally scheduled two-day event was cut short due to lightning. In round two, the Rams posted a team score of 421 (+133) in the cold and windy conditions to finish tied for 9th place.

North Central was led by freshman Hannah Wolf, who paced the Rams with a 96 (+24) to finish tied for 45th, turning in consistent rounds on both nines in the challenging conditions. Fellow freshman Brooklyn Barton followed with a 104 (+32), placing tied for 52nd, while freshman Claire Nelsen carded a 107 (+35) to take 55th overall. Rounding out the lineup, freshman Maizy Sundblad posted a 114 (+42) to finish tied for 57th in her first collegiate meet, gaining valuable experience against a 60-player field. As a team, the Rams' 421 (+133) secured a tie for 9th place out of 10 teams, battling through cold, windy weather in a shortened event.
