NEW ULM, Minn - The North Central University women's tennis team was in action in a non-conference matchup with Martin Luther College on Tuesday. NCU dropped the match 7-2 as
Nicole Swanson picked up a victory in the no.4 singles position and
Sierra Hunter and Erin Ollerrich won in the no.2 doubles position.
Sierra Hunter played in the no.1 singles position for NCU and dropped her matchup with one of the top players in the region in Anna Hemmelman in straight sets.
Anne Clarke played in the no.2 position and fell in straight sets in her matchup.
Madalyn Meetz dropped her match in straight sets in the no.3 position.
Nicole Swanson continues her winning ways as she won her first set 6-3 and then 7-5 in the second set in the no.4 singles position. Erin Ollerrich and Rachel Cribb rounded out the singles positions for NCU as each fell in straight sets.
In the doubles matchups
Anne Clarke and
Madalyn Meetz fell 8-1 in the no.1 doubles position.
Sierra Hunter and Erin Ollerrich picked up a win in the no.2 doubles position 8-6.
Nicole Swanson and Rachel Cribb fell 8-0 to round out the doubles matchups.
The Rams will be back in action on Thursday as they will take on Crown College in a non-conference matchup slated to begin at 3:00 p.m. in Chaska, Minn.
